List of Lost Treasures Waiting to be FoundThis page will be updated regularly as more information is submitted, reviewed and researched. There are currently millions of treasures buried under the soil, but only a handful of these are actually worth looking into. In this webpage you will find information that will possibly encourage you to become a better treasure hunter by letting you know about what is yet to be found. To tell us about treasures which we have not yet listed, please contact us.
The Treasure of Alaric
The first time I ever heard about this treasure was when Dr. Daniel Costa told me about it. He is a very good friend of my family and (presumably) a treasure-hunting enthusiast as well. According to Daniel's book, "The Treasure of Alaric", the Visigothic king Alaric pillaged Rome in 410 A.D. for the first time in 800 years. Can you imagine how much wealth and treasures the mighty Roman empire could have had in Rome itself at the time? The treasure is also said to contain the Great Menorah of Jerusalem which was captured by the Romans in the year 70 A.D.
Alaric died and his treasure was, according to many manuscripts, buried with him somewhere near Cosenza. However despite of years of treasure hunting, it has not been found yet. The book I previously mentioned, The Treasure of Alaric, is mysteriously out of production, but you may surely order an used version from Amazon as it provides plenty of information about this ENORMOUS treasure resting somewhere in Italy. I remember hearing from Daniel that he may be producing another version, more interesting for the reader, so check this webpage as I will keep you updated regarding this matter.
Knight's Templar Lost Treasure
According to Steven's Sora's "The Lost Treasure of the Knight's Templar" book, there is a small island in the coast of Nova Scotia were a treasure of unspeakable value is said to reside.
Near the beach, hollow ground was found where hundreds of years ago diggers began to look for the treasure. However, all of these attempts failed bringing nothing but a couple of items supposedly belonging to the treasure itself as well as some clues for the treasure.
The now famous stone (to the left) mentions that the treasure could be found "40 feet underneath" which represents an enormous challenge for treasure hunters as they find themselves struggling against the sea itself. The Knight's Templar Treasure is said to contain secrets which could change the way history is known. It is also believed to possess numerous golden artifacts from the XII century knights who sacked Jerusalem just a century earlier (taking many treasures with them).
How the knights buried the treasure 40 feet underneath, or even if there is any truth into that, remains a mystery today. Those who believe in the treasure often refer to God's power, mysterious medieval technology or even aliens who could have hidden the treasure at that depth.
Many historical sources claim the treasure's existence to be real. However, the exact location of where the treasure is hidden is obviously unknown. There are many possible locations but most treasure hunters agree that it is very likely hidden in one of the numerous Scotish islands. This is because the previously mentioned knights had to flee from France whereas they could have sailed anywhere, but an island as a place to hide seems very plausible. It is to be remembered that the stone signaled above is real which makes most treasure hunters believe that the treasure is actually hidden underneath that very place, but to due our limited technology, it is unreachable by us.
Lost Treasure of Montezuma
When Tenochtitlan finally fell in the year 1521, the Aztecs were said to hide a treasure of tremendous value. Nobody knows where this treasure could be, nor can anyone guarantee its existence. However, some "clues" have been found in Mexico City making some treasure hunters believe that the treasure might be hidden anywhere north of today's Mexico City. In fact, some hunters believe that the treasure might even be in the United States! However there is no proof to support such claims and all the actual evidence suggests that the treasure, if it exists, must be buried closer to Mexico City.
Cortes burnt Cuauhtemoc's feet for information about the possible location of the treasure. Cuauhtemoc, being a very strong leader, declined to cooperate with Cortes ultimately leading to Cuauhtemoc's painful death.
The treasure of Montezuma could have been hidden virtually anywhere. Additionally, some sources claim that it has been already found but simply not reported. Others claim that under today's Mexico City, the treasure may reside but to no avail for looking underneath that big city could be impossible.
