How to Identify a Taser Owner?AFID, or Anti-Felon Identification, is system used by Taser International, a major Taser producer, to help identify Tasers that have been fired. Every time a Taser is fired, it releases a large number of tiny unique coded tags. Please understand that it would be very hard to pick up every tag if somebody tried. If the police are called to investigate the scene where a Taser has been fired, they can call Taser International and give this serial number to them. In return, the police receive a complete trace of the weapon used- including the person who purchased it and location of him/her.
This program enforces people to be accountable for their actions. AFID has been working successfully for over a decade now. It is this main reason why criminals do not often use Tasers to benefit themselves. There is no other weapon that offers the ability to identify people with such ease.
